Supported key-values for rich media tags
The key-values below can be used when trafficking a Studio rich media creative. Enter these key-values in ad tags to customize the display or alter the functionality of a rich media creative. You can easily make changes in this way without having to contact the advertiser.
The table below describes valid key-value pairs that you can use to override creative settings for a rich media ad when you traffic it. When you insert key-value pairs in ad tags, you must use the format key=value.
||Lets you specify the
||Tells a rich media ad not to attempt to break out of the iframe. This is useful when the ad is running, for example, on a site that is contained entirely in an iframe.|
||Makes banner creatives break out of iframes like expanding and interstitial creatives.|
||Path must start and end with / character.|
||Lets you specify the amount of time during a visit, in seconds, that the interstitial creative runs in a web page. Uses auto, none, or positive integer.
Note: You can only override this creative setting for interstitial creatives.
Lets you specify the distance of the interstitial ad, in pixels or as a percentage, from the left edge of a web page in a browser window. Uses values from -1500 to 1500 as px, pct, or pxc.
Lets you specify the distance of an interstitial ad, in pixels or as a percentage, from the top edge of a web page in a browser window. Uses values from -1500 to 1500 as px, pct, or pxc.
Example of overriding creative settings with key-values: A Campaign Manager trafficker has specified the following creative settings for a rich media ad:
- the ad is positioned 50 pixels from the top edge of the page
- the ad is positioned 50 pixels from the left edge of the page
- the ad runs for 20 seconds
- the Java applets are displayed.
Based on these creative settings, you obtain an ad tag for the ad that looks like this:
After you obtain the ad tag you decide that you want to override the Campaign Manager trafficker's creative settings so that:
- the ad is positioned to be 60 pixels from the top edge of the web page
- the ad is positioned to be 10 percent from the left edge of the web page
- the ad runs for 30 seconds
- the Java applets are hidden.
To do this, override the creative settings in the ad tag like this:
||Positions an ad relative to the ad container specified in a tag. Default is false. If it's set to true, the ad's div appends to its container div, not to the page, and calculation of the ad's position starts at the top-left corner of the container. This only applies to interstitial formats.|
