What type of device do you want to set up?
Set up a personal device
If you use a personal device for work, you allow your administrator to control some data and features on the device. The steps to set up your device depend on how your administrator configures iOS enrollment:
- User enrollment—Lets your administrator separate work and personal data on the device. Your administrator has full control of work apps and data. Additionally, your administrator might set up account-driven user enrollment to let you add your account in iOS settings and have your device automatically enrolled.
- Device enrollment–Work and personal data are not separated on the device. Your administrator has more control over the device.
Before you begin
- You can set up your device in more than one way. Ask your administrator which steps you should follow.
- If you already used your device for work, unregister your account from the Device Policy app and remove the app from your device. For details, go to Manage the Device Policy app.
- If you're signed in to the Apple App Store with your work or school account, sign out first.
