Yes I understand it was a scam but my issue is that Google profits off the scammers and does not help people who were scammed. I would like to either get a refund or use the funds to provide Google devices such as the Wifi Nest however Google disallows this. Not very ethical.

Thanks for the number, this was the only way I was able to contact Google.

Unfortunately there is no way to get a refund for the gift cards which is incredibly frustrating. I am also unable to buy anything useful from the Google Store (eg a chromecast) or transfer credit to another party. It really begs the ethical question that Google is incentivised not to fix the Google Play gift card scams given there is no way for individuals to use the money except for on the Google Play store.

Now I have $600NZD to spend on the Google Play store on movies, books, music which I will not use.

I have tried finding a way to communicate to Google via phone, email, or online chat however I can't find any NZ number for Google, no email address and the "Chat support is currently not available.". Unfortunately Google hasn't responded to this community board either.

I nearly got scammed by a Google Gift Card scammer but realised the scam just as I forwarded the cards to my 'boss'. I quickly redeemed all of the voucher codes and now I have NZD $600 of Google Play cash to spend. I would like a refund as I have no use for the Google Play store but have no idea how to contact Google to ask the question.

I can prove that I'm not the scammer as I don't have an android device and have had my google account for years that the money is aligned to etc.
