I tried safe mode but that did not work. Also did a factory reset without restoring my backup. I even had trouble going through the setup process itself, the screen was unresponsive to touch and locked up. So I had to do another reset by holding power and volume up buttons. Same results, locked up during setup. Support finally said they will replace my 2 month old Pixel 6 Pro with a "refurbished" one. Needless to say I was not very happy about getting a used phone while still making payments for the full price. This is the last Pixel I will be buying from Google. Hopefully this "refurbished" one will last. But I have my doubts. 
I'm experiencing the same issue with my pixel 6 pro. Even as I type this the screen freezes, but the haptic feedback works. I have to press the power button and wait a minute or two. Then press power again, unlock, then continue typing. Just sent an email to support. It froze three times while replying to this post.

I agree we should be able to send to a FedEx location of our choice for pickup. I mean I get that it's a $1000 phone at retail but it didn't cost that much to make. And we have to show a government issued ID and sign for it anyway. Not to mention their customer service has been terrible the last few months. I sent multiple call requests and received two. Today I requested three times! First one I could get through after pressing 1 to connect. The second time the call dropped after waiting more than 15 minutes, it rang then click, nothing. The third time I never received a call. I finally got through chat but they couldn't do anything, had to escalate to someone else that is supposed to email me after 24 hours. Really?!?! Are you serious Google?!?! I'm already in my 2nd day after 3 failed delivery attempts. Tomorrow will be three. I'm about to take my entire family's cell service and go to TMobile or Verizon.... Can you hear me? Can you hear me now Google?
This is ridiculous. I finally got a call back from Fi and it was an automated call and I had to press 1 to connect and it never worked.
I'm having the same issue. Fi support is unreachable, FedEx support is also useless. Their drivers seem to do what they want to do. I also noticed from security cameras that there is a new one doing deliveries in my area. I already missed the 3rd delivery attempt. I will try to have my wife go to the FedEx Ground location to see if they can give her the shipment since I'm out if town. If she is unable to pickup, I'm done with Fi, this is the last straw.... Their customer support used to be good now I can't even talk to a live person..
