I have been able to turn on Wi-Fi since the March update last Monday, but not all connectivity issues are resolved yet. While being on a call via Bluetooth I was not able to turn on hotspot, instead that toggled the Bluetooth off/on and does not enable hotspot. I am going to try to trade this useless phone that yet cannot even get basic connectivity to work seamless that others have figured out for years. Bye Pixel 6, I gave you a good chance but I cannot wait for another month.
Dan, if you got your Pixel 6 yesterday I will recommend you to return it while you can and get a phone from a company that knows how to make Android phones that actually works, like Samsung, OnePlus, LG. I wish I had returned mine while I could, I somehow thought things would improve with software updates over time and did not imagine it would become worse and something new breaks for every update.
Mid March and still no fix and no word on when a fix will be released for Pixel 6, just incredible. I feel so dumb that I believed Google could make an Android phone and the details about the forced arbitration that I did not opt out of the first 30 days just make it even worse. (but thanks for sharing that)

As a hint I have had more success enabling WiFi / hotspot when following this procedure:

1) Turn on airplane mode
2) Reboot phone (can some times be skipped)
3) Turn on WiFi or hotspot
4) Turn off airplane mode (if cell is needed together with WiFi)

Unfortunately, even when the above procedure makes it possible to enable WiFi/hotspot it does not stay working forever, it will turn off again at sometime and the procedure need to be repeated.
A lot of users have reported this issue in a different thread  (https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/133335157?hl=en) also, because that is one of the suggestions the support page takes you when trying to report the problem with WiFi. Of course we will never know how many users really are impacted unless it is explained why only some will run into this problem.

Very big mistake of me thinking that Google would know how to make Android phones, this is definitely going to be my first and last Google phone, even if it eventually get usable. I have never experiences so poor quality with any of my Android phones over the last 10 years using LG, Samsung, HTC, OnePlus.
I posted earlier that a 2nd Feb update fixed the problem with WiFi for me, unfortunately I spoke to soon - the problem came back the day after, and now I can rarely turn on WiFi or hot-spot again.
There was an update available for me yesterday (Feb 18 2022) when I searched for updates manually. It was around a 10MB "security patch", so far it seems like it was a fix for the WiFi issues. My Pixel 6 is now staying connected to WiFi and Hotspot is also working again. I am glad I didn't go through factory reset and support request hassle, but thanks to everyone who did and helped making Google realize there was an serious bug then the previous update.
This problem also started for me after the February update on my Pixel 6. WiFi turns off automatically after a few seconds. Turning on Hotspot makes Bluetooth turn off/on a couple of times, and then disable Hotspot again. Going to airplane mode and back makes it work for a short while. I really hope a fix will come out soon for this one, of all the bugs Pixel 6 has, this one is the most annoying one for me so far. At the moment I feel like I must have opted in for being a beta tester when I bought the Pixel 6.
