Thanks for the reply.  I want to unlink the accounts so photos I take with my iPhone stop backing up automatically on Google Photos.  I was told by Google that deleting the photos app will not resolve the issue because something is linking the accounts. Tried deleting photos from the web and it still deleted it from my Apple Photos account
Ok glad to know that I’m not alone.  This just started in the last week.  Happening on all iOS devices.  Apple Support said its a GMAIL problem.  Changing permissions or deleting and reinstalling the app didnt help.  Neither did installing today’s new iOS update.  Getting support from Google is impossible.  Thats why I keep leaving devices.  I’m still upset about their YouTube Music holding my own library hostage and making my Google Home/Nest units useless but that’s a whole other issue
I’m having the same problem on all iOS devices.  Iphone 11 and an iPad.  Cannot attach photos to Gmail but can attach them to the iOS Mail app.  Was on phone with Apple Support and they said to try uninstalling and reinstalling app, as well as updating iOS which had yet another update today.  None of that helped.  I had never had this problem before but now I cannot send any photos via Gmail.  It opens the photo library but theres on ADD button and touching a photo does nothing.  Apple told me it was up to Gmail to fix but Google is terrible at support.  But its good to know IM not the only person experiencing the issue

I agree this is disgusting by Google and screwing all their loyal customers.  I am done.  I already gave up on the Pixel because of such bad experiences and the awful customer service.  Now to have invested in these units and not able to play it on the speakers?   It wont even let me play my meditations that I use to fall asleep.  Rather get Spotify or something like that vs give Google one more penny.  Shameful
Yes, even factory reset the phone.  The problem isn’t MINT because put a SIM card in other phones and they connected immediately.  Ive seen other people online complaining about issues with the Pixel 3XL and FI but didnt see any resolutions.
The issue is not MINT.  We’ve been dealing with them for 2 months and unlike Google, theyve had their highest techs look into this to make sure everything was fine on their end and theyve also had a single VIP support person deal with me until this gets resolved.  We even tried their card in an old Galaxy Nexus and it worked.  At Google, we’ve gone around in circles from Pixel to Fi to the ever frustrating online chats with people who barely speak English, don’t know what theyre doing and just keep repeating scripted lines.  Google at one point said its their eSIM.  Then they said its because both are t-mobile networks.  Then they said factory reset (like they always do)   Then they said maybe its a device defect.  The support, as always , has been poor so after a lifetime of being loyal Google customers, we’re switching to Apple by the end of the week.

Done all these steps multiple times
I think so. I've done everything they've suggested including factory resetting the phone.
Fi is an e Sim. I've given up at this point dealing with Google. The support experience is a nightmare. But thanks for trying to assist
Cant even get to that point because it wont let me select a mobile network.
Not sure this is the same exact issue but I’m having issues with adding mobile network too even after resetting my Google Pixel 3XL.   I was on Fi, which had an eSIM and trying to switch to MINT MOBILE which has a physical SIM.   Ive tried 3 times now and the number successfully ports but I cannot access it on my Pixel because it wont let me add a network.  I was told to factory reset the phone, which I did, and now that has just created more hassles but still wont let me add a network.  Neither Google Fi or Google Pixel support seems to know what to do except to tell me to go get an iPhone.  It’s like I’m being held hostage
