Well thats the primary issue there, when visitors try and locate the address it takes them to the wrong street because the postcode is the same and the street names are similar and ofcourse my street name isnt on the map at all so it causes quite a bit of strife there. Unless the street can be added onto maps I dont think there is much point changing anything.
Google Maps•8/24/2023
The only documents I have really are personal letters from the bank and local council and they list the address how I stated it above, as for more official documents than those I wouldnt even know where to begin as its such a small area of the map that I wouldnt think anyone would still have those documents available to share due to how old and specific they are, so I dont really know where to go from here.

There is no renaming to be confirmed as it is already called Gladstone Terrace and has been this way for many many years.

Royal Mail got back to me, They said that the address 'Gladstone Terrace' is the correct one and that they dont really have much control over external businesses databases for addresses and that any change that I put forward to Royal Mail will have to be checked and verified and may take several months.

I will request their assistance again and see if anything can be done on their end. Unfortunately, nearly every website, online resource, or database I could find simply lists it as I have described above. This leads me to believe that the section of the road has to be named 'Gladstone Terrace,' as the documents I have seen do not include 'Thomas Street' in the address line and do not refer to 'Gladstone Terrace' as a housing estate.
Google Maps•8/21/2023
I completely understand where you are coming from but I dont know what else to really say as I dont really have much to work with as all the documentation I have seen all list the address as 'Gladstone Terrace' and has no mention of 'Thomas Street', these records date back as far as the 1960s with some saying the houses were built before the 1900s, so I dont really know what else to say.

It has been over 72 hours since I emailed Royal Mail, and the addresses I inquired about remain the same: 'Gladstone Terrace, Mountain Ash.' The other residents on the street also confirm that the address is 'Gladstone Terrace, Mountain Ash,' and not anything else. After conducting some investigation on my own, I was told that a long time ago, before deliveries used digital systems to locate addresses, postmen could find my address easily. I am unsure how or why, but I believe that when digitally mapping out my area, there might have been an error, as it's very unusual for a street to be laid out in the fashion that my street has been. If you think it's necessary, I could wait longer to see if Royal Mail will make any changes regarding this matter.

I will send an email to them ASAP and then I will update this thread and notify you and the team on their response when they reply in a few days.

Its possible you are correct in that analysis, I was unaware of this since theres not much historic records if any regarding this small section of my town however it doesnt change the fact that this housing complex doesnt show up on maps and results in consistent misdeliveries. I viewed the royal mail map and noticed it doesnt show up but if you search for the addresses it does direct you to that block of houses as seen in the screenshot below.

Local administration's website displays this on their property search page, I could not find a GIS map with accurate information containing the area.
Google Maps•8/18/2023
The official government website has it on their database and you can find this here https://search-property-information.service.gov.uk/search/map-search/find-by-address
Google Maps•8/18/2023
Either way, they have incorrect information in their database whether this is due to the way they map out the areas or where they obtain the information from. My street is registered with the local postal service it just isn't visible on any of these wider mapping services. But like I said its there on the street sign and its in the postal database, whatever method they used to map this area they were simply incorrect and thats all I can really tell you as theres not much accessible historic records regarding such a small section of the map.
Google Maps•8/18/2023
A lot of those applications take their information from googles it is the reason why most of my packages get delivered incorrectly, anybody who lives here locally knows that this area is gladstone terrace. The sign has been here longer than any of those databases so it is very confusing how they would get it so incorrect from the get go. I would not be able to get a letter confirming the name change as the name has never been changed, it has always been gladstone terrace.
Google Maps•8/18/2023
I do not have any documents of that kind and nor would I be able to obtain them, It indicates Thomas street simply because google maps has the wrong information about the street. The sign clearly indicates that its gladstone street but google got it wrong somehow. The street sign has been there since I have been born and I have only faced issues with deliveries and people finding my address recently as a lot more people rely on digital systems to navigate them.
Google Maps•8/18/2023
I will attach the image to this message hopefully it works this time, I marked the block of houses in red to make it clear and the blue strip signifies the section of the road where the sign resides and it should offer a rough guideline to what section of the road needs its name altered. I also numbered the houses correctly as some of them arent quite clearly labelled on maps or in person
Google Maps•8/18/2023
I did my best to add the requested images to the google doc, I do apologise if they arent the best as I am not too competent with google maps tools
Google Maps•8/17/2023
That would be the shortened name for that short street of houses but its full proper name and more recognised name would be Gladstone Terrace
Google Maps•8/17/2023
It is very strange indeed! I am very curious as to how and why it was constructed this way. However I have provided a screenshot of Royal Mails postal database in the google doc which shows the line of addresses, you can look for yourself here: https://www.royalmail.com/find-a-postcode just search the post code cf45 3bs and you should see a list of addresses available in the dropdown box along with a map of its location when you pick one, this is the only documentation I can really provide at the moment as I am unsure what else is safe to use.
Google Maps•8/17/2023
I am having trouble adding photos to this thread so I apologise if you are unable to see them
Google Maps•8/17/2023
Here is the image you requested it is also in the google doc i shared earlier in this thread.
Google Maps•8/4/2023
That would be incorrect, only this section of Thomas street is to be changed to Gladstone Terrace (not street) I highlighted the row of houses included within this area as well, I will add this image to the google doc for future reference and I have also added an image of the street sign to the doc too.
