I totally agree. I got the P8P a week ago and I am already considering a return because of the awful battery life. My Samsung Galaxy s10+ (5 years old phone) lasted longer than the P8P... That's absolutely not normal. 
I agree with you. There should be a lawsuit of some sort against this trash company.
Don't waste your time with customer service. Rima just put the blame on me for not anticipating this issue and not saving my data before it happened. I can't believe what kind of awful service Google is providing. 
What they are saying is that I paid more than 1000CAD for my device to become unusable for 2 weeks AND loose my data. What the hell Google.
Just talked with the support. They said the engineers are expecting a fix around mid-november. 
This situation is completely unbelievable. This was my first and last Google phone. Never buying this crap again. I've had problems over problems over problems since I got this phone in march.
