How to fix skin appearing red on photos taken from front cam of Pixel 5 0 Recommended Answers 4 Replies 1 Upvote
I recently got me a pixel 5 and have noticed all of the photos taken from the front cam of the pixel 5 paint me red, literally ! All the photos have me with 'red skin' instead of my natural brown skin- is there a setting that needs to be changed for this to stop happening? I have tried a fair few photos with all three options of the Face Retouching option with no luck. There's one other reddit thread talking about this but its for a Pixel 2 XL. All I want is just a normal (real looking) photo.

@Piyush - I have the same issue in safe mode. I almost want to say the 'red-ness' is slightly less obvious in the pics take on safe mode - but over all, I dont see much difference.
@MrBelter - This happens only to pics taken in natural (sun) light. EIther outdoors or indoors (with the light globes/bulbs) turned off. I haven't seen this happen in pics I take inside the house after dark - with the bulbs on.

Images on the left are from an old (Samsung) phone and the images on the right are from a pixel 5
The bottom most image is from Safe mode.
The images were clicked in almost (99%) same location and similar natural light brightness.
