trembling dot on display during phone call

During a phone call I observed a trembling dot at the upper part of the display.

I suspect here a disturbance of the display by the loudspeaker below.

Has anyone observed this as well? Is that normal?

Hi Daniel - That is the proximity sensor on your device. It is what detects if you hold your phone up to your ear when you're on a call and turns off your display. It is also responsible for the Flip to Shh action. Many apps use the proximity sensor to perform a myriad of actions.

This article explains why it may be going off and also details how to fix it.
