Got a Pixel 5 about a week ago. The phone seems to lose quite a lot of battery while being idle overnight, and there is no particular app/service that seems to be driving this. Is this defective hardware or can this be fixed by me? For context, the I'd charged to 100% (where the graph below begins), then used the phone a little (which is where the first inflection point is), then slept with no apps running in the background (which is when the battery dropped by a concerning amount), and then you see the inflection point when I woke up and started using the phone again in the morning.

I am noticing the same issue! Mine drops to about 75% overnight from a full charge.

i'm having the exact same problem.
charged my phone up to 100%, took it off charge and went to bed.
Woke up this morning 8 hours later, and despite the screen being off all that time and it just sat there idle, it was down to 67%.
No app was hogging the battery, i've tried rebooting the phone, i even tried a full factory reset yesterday morning.
i'm still having unacceptable battery drain whilst the phone is idle.
I have no idea if i need to get my phone replaced, or wait for a software update?

That is quite a bit more battery drain that you should be seeing from letting the phone sit idle overnight.
Could you try charging your phone to 100% and then leaving it in safe mode over night to see if it makes a difference to the battery drain? You can boot into safe mode using the instructions located HERE.
That will help determine if there is some unknown background process causing the drain.

Thanks, I'll try overnight tonight. In the meantime, I've been at work today - where I don't touch my phone often - and my phone's just in regular mode currently, but seems the battery drain is slower now, during the day. Seems strange

I got a problem as much as all of those comment.
Patches didnt solve the problems.
Battery still drain overnight aprox 20 percent about 6-7 hours.
Please do not suggest to check in save mode, because we use the phone in normal mode, and the problem persist when the phone is on idle mode eventhough i delete all my additional apps.
I also noticed that battery drain issues is also spotted in the other models ex. Samsung,oneplus.
Please do a concern to check battery drain issues
