Is the Pixel 4a QI wireless charging enabled?

I had the pixel 3xl which was capable of wireless charging and I have upgraded to the pixel 4a but it wouldn't charge on my 3rd party charger wirelessly. I purchased the Google charging stand but it doesn't work on this either.

I have checked and the stand details state it charges pixel 3,4&5. Also I was told when I upgraded it was capable of wireless charging.

I have tried it upright and on its side, with case on and case off, tried 4 different sockets to make sure it wasn't a dead socket fault. Also tried 2 different cables (the one that came with the stand and the one that came with the phone).

Don't get me wrong I can charge via wire but I like the ease of just plonking my phone on the stand when I go to bed.

Hi Lance - No, the 4a does not have wireless charging capabilities.

I cannot believe that the Pixel 4a does not have wireless charging. Such a shame, would have been a perfect phone otherwise

Wow so upset. I was also led on to believe it was wireless charging. Just to find out that it does not. I would have waited to update to the expensive 5 had I known major features were missing. I was excited about the 3.5m but now I feel the phone isn't worth it. Return for sure

The Pixel 4A is the worst mobile phone I've had. Apart from not being able to charge wirelessly the power and volume control buttons are much too sensitive, they function far to easily and I find I am switching the thing off and on and changing the volume settings just by picking up the phone off the table. Also it takes far to long to boot up and to shut doen. I had a Pixel 3 prior to this one and it is superior to the 4A in every way.

Wish I would have read this first ... bought a 4a for a early Christmas present along with the charger base only to find out ... no charging. Why isn't there some sort of box that pops up when you order saying "Hey! dummy, this won't work with this phone?"

Same here. Very disappointed that Google tech support did not tell me the stand doesn't work with a 4A when I asked them for help. I also sent my first one back and I'm on my second charger and now find out it won't work.

I'm equally upset about lack of wireless charging on 4a! I was told at the Verizon store that it would work and purchased a wireless charger. Now I need to return it. Great phone, except for that. 😢

That's ridiculous. They should expressly exclude the 4a when describing that the 4 will charge. I was also told the 4a would work and am very disappointed.

I was under the impression that the Pixal 4a was wireless charging. The "Google Stand" state's it's compatible with the three four and five. I've even purchased a wireless charging receiver card, it still won't charge. Too bad I have to wait until my upgrade kicks in to get this convenience.
