Trouble closing apps after update to android 11 0 Recommended Answers 90 Replies 435 Upvotes

Since updating to android 11, I can't keep the open apps list floating in the middle to see everything open and force close one if I want. It will just scroll to the next app open left or right and there is no scroll function and I can't force close an app easily anymore without going to into the settings. Anyone else have this issue?

Same with me. Seems like a known issue without anyone at Google acknowledging it.

Are ou swiping up from the very bottom and just. alittle bit to get the apps to show? Then let go and they should stay so you can swipe left or right

I just woke up to this issue on my Pixel 4. I can still navigate to prior apps but I can't force kill them by using the old swipe up action. This does feel a little like a bug.

I updated this afternoon and am having the same issue as well. I've tried rebooting and unfortunately it's not working for me either.

Instead of just restarting (previously, had not resolved this issue), I did a complete power off / power on, after sorting out some settings under the Accessibility tab. Seems to have done the trick! I think it was the power off/on that returned the swipe-to-toggle feature back! Hope it can work for others experiencing this same issue! Good luck! Will note others' comments here re: sensitivity. Thanks!
