After upgrading to Android 11 today, i switched to gesture navigation so i could get the screenshot options. The problem is, when i swipe up to access the app drawer, it doesn't seem to work. I can't get to my apps at all. So far, Android 11 is really buggy, in my opinion. Bubbles don't work either.
Hi Nick, you're probably swiping up from the bottom bar. That wouldn't work.
You need to swipe up from the search bar or above to open your app drawer.
If you try swiping up multiple times from the bottom bar, a neat animation would appear to show you where exactly to swipe up from to open your app drawer.

Those still having problems opening the overview screen, please try rebooting your phone. I had an issue yesterday where the overview gesture stopped working, a reboot fixed it.

I thought it in Android 10 swiping up above the search bar brought up the app switcher and swiping below the search bar brought up app drawer. Did Android 11 switch that around? I might be wrong, but I almost never go to my app drawer and loved me able to switch apps by swiping up from the middle of the screen, opposed to swiping up at the very bottom.

@Kevin, no, on Android 10, it was swipe up and release from anywhere on the screen to open your app drawer and swipe up and hold from anywhere on the screen to open the overview screen.

Is there a way turn this animation off? It is INFURIATING when I try to switch to an app from the home screen and the gesture doesn't work for absolutely no reason. Closest I've ever come to throwing my phone across the room when this feature mocked me three times in a row
