It might indicate a hardware problem with your phone.

A friend of mine used to face this problem and this solved his issue: Open Settings -> Tap on System -> Reset options -> Click on Reset WiFi, Mobile & Bluetooth. If it still doesn't work out, there might be some issues with your router or your device.
Generally, WiFi routers are set to 2.4Ghz. We've seen issues in the past regarding Pixel phones and their WiFi band preferences. Try changing the WiFi band in your router settings, here's a video guide for help.
If nothing works, repair or replace your phone here.

My Pixel XL og started doing the same thing today. Installed the May 2019 updates last night. I know this is my phone screwing up as I am in an office with multiple people not having wifi issues. Phone will go through the connection process then drop right after obtaining an IP and connecting.

Not sure if mine is the same issue or different issue. Pixel 3 stays connected to my WiFi for a couple of days, then disconnect. It can see my SSID, but cycles through Saved and Connecting statuses without actually connecting.
Turn WiFi off then back on - didn't fix it. Reset the phone's network settings - didn't fix it. Factory reset - didn't fix it. Rebooted the router - didn't fix it. Reboot the phone and it re-connects to WiFi for a couple of days, then disconnects.
Pixel 3 that's been working fine since December 2018. Upgraded to 10 in the fall of 2019 and WiFi was fine. On or around the time I got the August 2020 update, it started having WiFi connection problems. I cant pinpoint the exact date it started, but it's been close to a month.
Not having WiFi issues with laptops, iPhone, streaming media players, smart TVs, etc. on the same network. Dual band router. 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz channels have the same SSID name.
Working from home, so I'm on other SSID for any extended period of time to see if it happens on other networks.
I do leave the house with the phone 2 or 3 times a day, and it will re-connect to my WiFi when I'm back in range. But the problem happens after a couple of days since the last reboot. A few times I've come back in range and it starts the Saved / Connecting back-and-forth pattern.
