I'm not sure what to do.
Simple - contact Pixel Support!
You can contact Pixel Support through this Help page:
You can find authorized repair companies here:
Note that you MUST be in a country where the Pixel phone is officially sold and supported by Google, and where you bought it. If you bought it through an unauthorized reseller/reshipper, you will have to contact them for any help. You can check for the countries that Google supports for each device:

After the second screen started having the same issue, I requested Advance Exchange and Google sent me a replacement phone. I received the phone on January 5th 2023. Well, this morning on my drive to work, I noticed the ambient home screen behavior and is now advancing like the other two incidents. This is very frustrating for everyone having this issue.
I do want to add (noticed it in someone else's write up) that there does seem to be something heat related. I recall with this replacement phone that it got abnormally / randomly hot one day (did not shutdown or tell me it was hot, just felt oddly hot) and a couple of days later these symptoms seemed to follow...
I use Google Pixel Stand 2s most of the time when charging at home and work but do spend a lot of time driving with my phone plugged into my lighter using an Anker USB charger not sure if that could be an issue, or if because my phone is near my dash vent (it is winter where I am) but wondering if anyone else has charging similarities that might be the cause...
2nd Advanced Exchange on the way...

Been reading on Reddit too, lots of folks with the same issue. Agree with some of the posters here that this should not happen on a $900 phone this soon, does not bode well for longevity. Thankfully I still have my Note 8 sitting around (which the 7 Pro replaced) and still functioning like a champ, as a backup.
