Pixel 5 does not work 5G and wifi calls in half of Europe. Terrible shame on google.
Why does Google block the 5G network on its PIXEL reference phones in some countries?
One of the most important things in today's world is not working?
What kind of amateur access is this from google?

This whole website is just about that.
How google admits its incompetence.
This is inexcusable.
And they can write a thousand excuses there.
Do you know how many countries are in Europe? You cross the state border and your phone doesn't work. 3G networks are starting to be phased out and replaced by 5G.
I think the Pixel 6's fingerprint reader is slow compared to this one.
Google buried its reference phones in half of Europe, and with it the supporters of this brand.

This forum is staffed by volunteers- not Google employees - so ranting like this would not be reaching the intended target, I'm afraid.
For what its worth, I live in a supported country but keep 5G disabled as it is not worth the effort nor additional battery drain imho.

If the 5G network, VoLTE and calls via wifi did not work in half of the country.
Even cheap phones from China cannot afford such an attitude towards customers.
Type expression. You should have familiarized yourself with the instructions where these services work. It's absolutely ridiculous.

You should have figured out how to make the hardware and software work.

Simply put, we do not recommend buying a PIXEL in Europe.
Basic functions will not work for you. Buy cheap China, everything works there.

I ve contacted them and they told that they have many complaints from eropean customers and they will contact Google/Alphabet for statement. Important thing is send them receipt from yours Pixel and link to XDA - developers when the tread is that you can ROOT yours Pixel and turn on 5G in unsupported countries manualy - this is proof that there is no need certification from mobile operators.
