Google Pixel 6 Pro - June 2022 Update Does NOT Fix Network Issue

I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro and since getting the phone a few months ago I have experienced network issues several times a day. This is where I get a ! icon over the signal bars, at which point the internet stops working until I reboot. This happens regardless of which sim is being used, or which network I am connected to.

I can see from a quick Google that there are many people with the same issue. I have already contacted Google Support twice before and they have confirmed is it a software issue which will be fixed in June 2022.

I have now received the June 2022 software update, and the issue has not been fixed. I have even reset the device for a third time, but the network connectivity issue remains problematic as of today.

I was previously told to come back to live chat if the issue remains. However, when I came back on live support today, a Google agent specifically told me it's not a problem with the phone but rather the network. Which is complete BS given this issue happens regardless of sim / esim being used, and that Google have already confirmed the issue, twice! I am now totally angered that when I came back to raise this issue again I was completely fobbed off by the agent who was taking no responsibility for the issue, instead blaming "the network".

Not only has this issue not been fixed, but the whole customer experience is going from bad to terrible. This will be the last time I purchase a Google phone for sure.

For now, what else can be done about this?

I spent an hour in live chat again today with Google Customer Support. Their advice was to return the device for repair.

The link provided for this was: https://store.google.com/ie/repair?pli=1

Now on Android 13 and still the exact same issue.

Now on Android 13 with Pixel 6 and same issue here.

I had some minor success forcing the network to connect to 4G, though it still drops; just not as frequently.

I also fear restarts, as detection of my SIM card is so sporadic that I could be stuck restarting >a dozen times just to have a chance at getting network connectivity.

this is embarrassing!
A "Phone" that keeps dropping the network!!??!! what good is that "Phone"?
Google likes to put out half-baked shit.

I notice this happens to me when the phone switches between 4G and 5G networks. When 5G is weak and my phone picks up 4G, it freaks out, and when 5G becomes strong again and it switches back it freaks out again. I have had some luck toggling airplane mode on and off again, causing it to re-detect and re-connect. Pretty annoying though.

Is there any word on possible fixes for this?

Well an update from me, my 6 Pro is now on 13 and still the same issue. I have owned many pixel phones and even other phones before pixel and I have never even seen the ! on my bars before the pixel 6 pro. Now for me it is a daily issue that I see ! on my bars while losing internet and even dropped calls. In areas my Pixel 4a5g would have around 1 bar I would still have good service and even in the car my youtube music would keep on playing. Now.... those same areas my music constantly buffers and internet is non existent. Now it seems that even in areas where I have half to 3/4 bars I still get the ! on my bars and music buffers and the map on android auto becomes pixelated.

Areas that I would drive through with my 4a5g and still get service I no longer get now. Since I work outside of the home in many locations in my city a day having service is huge for me. None of this was an issue before the 6 pro. Now I am seriously thinking this will be the last Pixel phone I get.

Google needs to come out and tell us what is going on or risk losing a lot of customers

I'm the same. My service is definitely worse on this phone than my prior pixels in general, and now my service disappears and the only way to send it receive texts is to restart, which only fixes the problem for a few hours. It makes it... Not a phone.

Same Here. I have this Problem since day one, every time especialy during Roaming.
With my old Handy Pixal 4a, same Provider, same dual Sim (E-Sim/physical Sim) configuration there is no problem.

Today i checked both with Network Monitor passing the country Border.
No Issues with 4a , it connected fast with LTE Network.
The Pixel 6 pro doesnt Connect. It only connected to an EDGE Network.
Then i turned Off Automatic Network Connection and choose manualy an LTE Network, and it works.
I think there bis an Issue with Automatic Network Connection with Pixel 6

I've the same issues as well and this is really frustrating. When I contact support they acknowledge that they are aware of the issue and is coming soon. Pixel 6 series has been out for a year now and if they could not fix it I'm sure they won't be able to fix it in future. Also, with pixel 7 coming out Google will shift it's focus away from pixel 6.

Unfortunately, this problem has moved to pixel 6a as well. nothing to say...

I'm having the same issue with my 6pro and it's worsened since the update to 13. I got a new sim from Verizon, I've done the factory reset suggested by support and I've now sent my phone in and am waiting to see if there's an actual fix. I've explained it's got to be an issue with the device since my wife's pixel 6 does not have any issues.

me and my friend have the same problem, is the problem fixed?

What fixed the problem for me was dialing *#*#342886#*#* to set the carrier selection to auto. Haven't had problems since.
