For the past few days, when I pick up a phone call the screen goes black. And I have tried everything to get it back to no avail. It usually takes pushing the power button several times to get the screen back.  (It happened before the February update, but continues after the update.)

I do have a screen protector but have had it on there since last September. Where would that sensor be on the phone?

I will disagree here, I'm having the same issues here, and reading all these other post or blog with the same issues, this has to be a Google issue, it is not on the owners of the Google Pixel phones. I have posted on another forum with same issues here. We have all tried the Safe Mode, the Reset to factory settings, etc etc what all the Google support team is requesting us here. How is possible when this all started in just the last month or so. I have done everything that I have read on the Web to fix this problem, only thing that really work was to delete my Google account on my phone, but then I lost everything else. I dont have all these annoying stopped App messages. So I suggest your support team go back to the drawing board and figure out why we are all have these bug issues. Having to pay out more money to have this repaired by a outside vendor I feel is out of the question. Google support you know what the issues are fixed them, stopped trying to put this on the owners of these Pixel phones, I tell you what If I have to invest into another phone it will not be another Google product...please like to received a feedback
