Hi Sivaiah,
As this article states, DSDS support is only available for Pixel 3a right now. I have escalated this and will post back if there's an update. If I had to guess, this has something to do with Pixel 3 only having one IMEI and Pixel 3a having two.

We are very excited to bring full DSDS support to the Android Platform, including Pixel 3a and are thrilled with the great support we have received for the feature!  As you have pointed out Pixel 3 did not get DSDS functionality when the Android 10 update rolled out, this is due to it not having two IMEI numbers, as previous Pixel generations launched before DSDS features were available.   Given hardware restrictions, we cannot roll this update out to all Pixel devices, but we’re excited to bring it to Pixel devices going forward.

Well, we do not share that excitement as we paid for the flagship, only to see that the cheaper version gets a feature that we don't. Let me tell you one thing clearly. These kinds of things easily propagates a negative vibe and people will start thinking that it may happen later. While we understand the technical limitation, you also need to understand that eSIM without DSDS is a bad bad idea and basically means nothing. Hence, you should launch a buy back while launching Pixel 4, with an acceptable price difference. In short, your marketing team should now try to control the damage made by your technical team.

This.

Exactly what Akashdeep says. We are not excited at all that you first designed a device which is not up to standard by "forgetting a small detail, two IMEI", then you can't even say sorry folks we have done a mistake, here is something for you in return, and you refuse to accept phone returns.

Then you come here and laugh in our face how sorry you are that we only have Pixel 3, and that you are excited about it. I think at this point I am about to try to open a case with European institutions about false marketing and refusal to accept it.

You come here and laugh. DSDS worked on the beta version of Android 10. What is the technical problem?

its your fault of hardware and we pixel 3 owner are unable to use dual standby feature. and your phone is very very much overheating give me a solution or give my money ack

My GF was deciding whether to buy 3a vs 3, have gone with the flagship, and now she regrets the decision, because of no DSDS!

This reply of Google employee about his excitement is really disappointing. Excitement about making us fool.

They promise to give good product and service to customer but they don't give even a basic need to us.
Just 2 SIM Card in 1 phone it already done in other phone almost 10 years.

I'd settle for actual E-Sim support on my Australian Pixel 3.  Google crippled our devices, yet still charged us higher (relative) prices than other markets.

As a result, I won't buy a flagship google phone - Too many features are US only.

Soo, it was available in early Betas of Q now it's gone because of " Google yadda yadda." Fake news. I'm sure the checks have cleared and any agreed carrier exclusivity is over by now. Stop playing games.

I can't even seem to add an esim carrier after reving my physical sim & restarting.  The mobile carrier option is greyed out.  No +,  no comment or instruction to add carrier.  Just started & when checking the sim status - there's nothing - as there's no physical sim & darned if i can get an esim ONLY option.  Only needs 1 IMEI -but nothing.  Ergh   The Pixel 3 was advertised as physical sim & esim.   I'd even settle for only 1 at a time.

Why not make DSDS a user choice in developer settings? It was working in beta and having just one IMEI isn't an issue unless you have 2 sims from the same provider.

I had a T-Mobile SIM and Fi SIM working beautifully together. Google so effed us all on this phone. Drm wireless charging, memory issues, general bugs that never should have made it to prime time. Oh and how about that trade in value. 300, that is the real kick in the ass. Thank God for OnePlus when it comes to Android. Here's a suggestion Google, don't spec and design your next phone, let OnePlus do it. Just like the Nexus days.
