New Google pixel battery turns off at 25%

Every time my new Google pixel gets to roughly 25% it turns it self off and claims that it has 0 , despite force stoping apps using a hibernate app the battery has no issue of back ground apps and I've tried optimising it might be time to face that the phone it's self and the fact that it keeps happening almost every day !

Hey Hadss,

There are two questions from me.

1. Are you seeing this when you are on Safe Mode as well - if not, this maybe a third party app related and not OS or hardware issue - Safe Mode instructions here https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2852139?hl=en&vid=0-297843185802-1482653892918
2. When you restart the phone, does it start charging from 25% or 0%?

Regards,
Mike

That's how my phone began to act ... Now it will do it at any percentage, randomly.

I have pics of my battery usage graph that shows it happening as high as 57%, but I have had it happen at 76% as well.

I don't think it's a bad battery, it seems to be core software to me as it began happening after 7.1.1

Hi Hadss & Jonathan,

Welcome to the Pixel User Community.

@Mike: Thanks for pitching in!

@Hadss & Jonathan: In addition to Mike's suggestion, I'd suggest you go through this Help Center article and troubleshoot your device by following the steps. Also, trying wiping your device's cache by going to Settings -> Storage -> Cached data.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Damon

Hi Hadss,

Thanks for the reply.

I'd suggest you please go through this Help Center article which will guide you how to restart your Pixel device into safe mode.

Please go through the Help Center article that I've shared in my previous post and try the steps provided. Could you please confirm, are you saying that your device isn't charging beyond 20%?

Keep me posted.

Regards,
Damon

No no I'm saying myphone goes from 100% down to bout 30% ish then usually turns it self off and says there is only 0% when it was last on 20% battery

So charge to 100%
Dies at 20/30%
Then starts charging from 0%

Hi All,

Thanks for posting.

As there is a master thread which already discusses about the same issue, I'm marking your post as a duplicate to that thread so that you may find any of the suggestions helpful and get updated if there is a fix.

I appreciate your understanding.

Regards,
Damon
