Turn on Clear Calling

Important: This feature is available on Pixel 7 and later, including Fold.

Your Pixel phone app supports Clear Calling. Some third-party apps for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro also support Clear Calling for Wi-Fi calls.

Turn Clear Calling on or off

Important: This feature depends on your call bandwidth and may not be available for all calls.

1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
2. Tap Sound & vibration Clear Calling.
3. Turn Use Clear Calling on or off.

Tip: To muffle background music, such as hold music, turn on Clear Calling. Turn off to hear background music better.

Clear Calling & data privacy

All sound data is processed on your Pixel phone. This feature doesn’t send your audio and phone conversations to Google. Learn more about Google’s privacy policy.

Important: Your Pixel phone app supports Clear Calling. Some third-party apps for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro also support Clear Calling for Wi-Fi calls.
