How to fix weak adhesive on rubber strip on the bottom of Pixelbook?

There is a long rubber piece across the bottom of the laptop. One side has lifted out of the groove, making the laptop wobbly when typing.

I have tried pushing the rubber back into place, but the adhesive has weakened. I am unsure of what glue to use to ensure it will not pop out again.

Help meeeeeee! I hate typing with a wobble!

Once the strip is pulled up, it cannot be reattached.

Many users who tried to open the back, learned that the hard way.

As Jim said, the strip is not meant to come up. You can try, without deforming the strip, to clean off the back of the strip that's come up and the back of the case where it should be, and then use a small amount of contact cement. Alternatively, you can go ahead and carefully remove the strip altogether, clean the area,.and then buy some adhesive-backed anti-slip tape and cut a replacement to fit. Your biggest challenge here is finding tape that's an acceptable thickness.

The nice thing about the anti-slip tape is that once you find a good product, it can be used on other electonic items you want to keep from sliding around.
