Can I save a "Spotlight" slideshow that Google Photos created?

I received a notification from Google Photos for a "Spotlight" slideshow. The slideshow was a great set of photos showing my oldest child from 2015 until now. The slideshow was great and I tried to save it by tapping the star at the bottom but it only saved the individual picture that I tapped the star for. I also tried sharing the slideshow but it only shared the one picture that was being shown when I tapped the share button. Is there a way I can save the entire slideshow, go back and view it again, or share the entire slideshow with my wife?

Hello, Ryan Black 7505

That's an interesting requirement.

Regret, there is no way to save that spotlight at present.

Nevertheless, till the time the feature becomes available, you can use this workaround in future.

Now, Android 11 allows Screen recording.
If that's not available on your handset, you can look for third-party apps.

Start the spotlight after activating the screen recording.
You can use the video editor in Google Photos to trim the start and the end.  In this way, now you will have the entire movie available for sharing.

Is there at least a way to find it again?
It slipped out of my hands and I am dying to find it again.

These so called pros that answered the question are all retarded. Of course you can save it and find it again. All u do is click the share button and select them all . It so easy I can't believe these retarded answers

Vladamir all u have to do is go to the app and at the top where it says 1yr ago, 2yrs ago... We'll keep scrolling to the right and eventually u will get back to the spot light card.

"Interesting requirement?"

The slideshow is a well-delivered peek at memories.  The timed slides are already prepared, captioned, and sequenced, seemingly for free.  But to share this experience -- revisiting memories in such a format -- is an "interesting requirement?"  Surely you jest.

Does anyone know of you can create a custom spotlight? For example there was a spotlight on two people in my family. Now it's gone and I want it back.

Highly required! I have a great spotlight of my dad and i want to share it with him and can't, screen recording is not an option because it doesn't function as a spotlight where you can view the photos yourself scroll freely.. add this feature please

Also there seems no way to view Spotlight afterward. It just disappear!

Same requirement, the AI behind the photo selection is pretty good so being able to save these results as Albums will be really appreciated

In the latest version of the Android photos apps, you can now press the 3 dots in the bottom right and select "Save memory to Album".  This will create a new album from the spotlighted memory, which you can then use the slideshow facility to watch again or share with your friends.

I hope you find this answer helpful

This is the kind of thing that annoys me about Google. How stupid do you have to be to invent a feature like this and not give people the option of saving it? It pretty much renders the whole thing pointless.
