Hi Emma,

Thanks for posting on the Google Photos Help Forum.

If your photos are only available in the Google Photos app on your Android device, I'd suggest you to manually download the desired photo from your Google Photos app using these steps:

On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app .
Sign in to your Google Account.
Tap on the photo of your choice.
On the top right, tapand tap 'Save to device'.

Once the photo is saved to your device, you can choose to assign that photo to your contacts.

Was no help. The save to gallery is not an option ,nothing about Galaxy is an option. s8plus

I.doing the process to save to device but it's not there cant find it

To all the people who can't see the "save to device" in the three dots. If the photo is already on your device it doesn't show up. Try deleting a photo from your device and then finding it in google and move it over. It works, take a photo and try it. The machine is smarter than we are!!!!

The photo is not anywhere on my device (One Plus 7) at all, Not in downloads, not in DCIM, Files, you name it, and I still can't see the 'save to device'.

It will not let me save my photos to my gallery and it is so frustrating!

Please someone, provide an answer/solution to this.

On the earlier versions of android it was possible to see all your FB and google photos directly in gallery .there were just tumbalines but you were always able to download the full copy. why I cannot do it now?
