Using Backup and Sync application on a Windows 10 machine, I selected The Pictures library to be backed up to Google photos. The Pictures library contains thousands of photos organized in many sub folders. I was expecting this folder tree to be created on Photos. However, This is not hat happened. Photos and videos are backed up, but everything is "Flat". That is, everything is one level with no logic order. It does being displayed by date though.  No folders created, thus everything now is a big mass. pretty useless for me.

How can i fix it, if at all possible?
Is there a way to organized the photos by their original windows folders?

OJ,
Sorry, but that is just how Google Photos works. There are no folders, just one big stream of photos in order by date.
If you upload one folder at a time, you can specify that those photos be put into an album, but that's about it.

Google photo does not provide any normal way to organize the photos? What about albums ? As I can see you can manually create an album, and manually add items into it. yet, it does not "disappear" from the main page, plus it is not a practical solution for thousands items, that are actually were sorted in the first place. Isnt it?

Also I just realized that everything is presented in Google Drive as well. Unlike photos, here everything is presented with its  original folders tree (under Computers). So I guess all items and not duplicated, it is just the presentation in each app (Photo vs. Drive).

Is there a workaround possibility of automatically creating albums based on original folder structure? it is so useless the way Photos works..at least to my opinion.

I've been using a method since forever, before they come up with free storage thing.
just create an album on their server (web or app), then drag and drop the folder you want to upload to that album (basically they would have the same name), so to save time, I first created all albums and then uploaded each folder from my device to its similar album on google photos at once,
now my android photos app and the web interface show the albums and sync everywhere
