"trouble adding" is a subject on here that states it has been solved. I'm still having issues.

This is a topic that has been discussed multiple times but all the threads are closed and state that Google has fixed this.  I am having this issue for the first time and followed the direction from the other threads and making the album a shared album.  This doesn't work for me.  Any further ideas?

Suddenly there are a lot of problems reported with the Safari-browser on Apple devices, especially with albums. Also on my iPad.

Probably there was nothing to fix at all, but you are unclear about the word "album" and you don't refer to one of these old threads (closed because of no further comments).

Because what you see at photos.google.com is not an album, but your library from start years agoo.
And what Google did create automatically on the album-page, are no albums either but search-selections which can't be shared.
So it is unclear if you want to share your recent holiday-pictures or your complete library?
But if you already have created a normal album, do select Options under its 3 dots and switch-on sharing and then copy & paste the link provided into a normal mailmessage to family & friends.
Pleaase do tell them that don't need to have a Google-account for viewing & downloading.

PS: adding persons for sharing only works for people who are using Google Photos also - especially if you have switched-on the options for comments & likings and/or adding pictures.
I can not check that easily.
Thereby sending a link per mail is the most reliable method for everyone and you also can do that later again when you want to add a person.

wow, holy smokes.  I uploaded some photos and I'm trying to create an album like I normally do.  I don't even need to share it.  I'm just creating an album.  For some reason now I can't do that and it is saying "trouble adding".  I discussed how it was an earlier thread because I didn't want someone to think I hadn't looked up the topic.

If there is anyone out there still experiencing this issue that the other threads say Google has corrected, please let me know.

Sorry, I got confused by the impression that you had troubles with converting a normal album into a shared album and then to add persons to share with etc. etc.

But apart from temporary troubles at your Google server, I never have had any problems in my Chrome-browser with adding any pictures to any albums that I have created myself (not shared by others).
And I often do that immediately after a new upload has ended, because then it is asked if you want to add to any album. But later you also can work the other way around: first open the album and then press the tiny + to add from computer or library.

Maybe you should try another browser because there often are strange problems with Firefox.

Or do you work with the Backup & Sync app on your computer?

Or are you trying this in the app on your phone?
