"How do i get started making animations"
- Select some photos
- Tap the + icon ("Add to"
- Select "Animation"
That's all you need to do, but also all you can do. It's fully automatic, and sometimes gives a nice result, often not.

How to make an animation yourself, you can see in this article.

If you want to know why the Assistant selects any files, but does not select others, this is unknown. There is no way to find out, since the Assistant is a set of complex automatically operating algorithms.
