Hello,
This is a bit of an odd request & I'm not sure who I can direct it to, but here goes...
I've been in Africa for the past 2 years; I left for Africa before the Picasa retirement announcements. I have recently returned and only now just found out that the Picasa program has been retired. I found out because I tried to re-download an album of photos shared with me because my old computer (with accompanying shared Picasa photos) disappeared in Africa. Obviously downloading the shared Picasa album didn't work.
The album was from my former professor had generously taken a series of photos specifically for me in a very special location & then sent me said album of photos. While I was away, he unfortunately died of lymphomatic cancer.... So I can't exactly ask him for the photos.
I am a bit heartbroken about this; my last communication with him & I can't get the pictures he sent me.... On the email, I can still see a thumbnail of the cover image he sent me... Is it possible that even just that one photo was saved from the Picasa server? Is it somehow possible to recover ANY of the photos?
Thank you,
Ashley
