How to stop uploading google photos to google drive?

I can't get my google drive to stop uploading my google photos. I had paused the upload and tried to press the "x" to get rid of them, but I couldn't figure out how to stop all 500 photos all at once. I've tried to force stop the app, turning off all automatic uploads, signing out, changed all of google settings. Nothing seems to work please help!

With sync turned off, my Android Google Photos is still trying to upload. I paused it by telling it to wait for wifi. Sync off doesn't stop it.

Disable Photos in your Apps in Settings. Save your photos in Private or offload them onto another drive. Then delete off your phone. Whenever you Enable Photos it will start uploading again.

Although google says they discontinued drive photos from uploading to the google photos I experience otherwise. So there was a folder in the drive called google photos if you simply delete it it will have nothing to upload. Now I just did this and it can take a while to see the results on the google photos as I experienced. What may also work is just rename the folder (not tested) and keep in mind that if you remove the google photos folder from Google drive you loose the content so if you care move it to some other folder or download it to your computer before you delete it.

(➡️I will use this sign to indicate for the word (THEN).✔️
Select Setting ➡️ Apps➡️Photos➡️select "ALL" photos➡️Go to 3 button on upper right corner ➡️select ARCHIVE!➡️This stops the "UPLOADING OF THE GOOGLE PHOTOS USING WIFI."➡️When you wish to use a photo(s) from the ARCHIVE file➡️you must access the Photo App "AGAIN'   ➡️tap at the upper left corner➡️stroll down and select Archive➡️all of the pictures will return back to the photo app.➡️ select the picture(s) that you wish to return back to the the photo app.➡️Re-archive the ones you do not wish to remain in the photo app. That solves the problem.
🌻THIS WORKED FOR ME!🌻
