Hi Larry,
This might seem silly, but have you tried using the flip button?
It will be on the screen for your to toggle between the front and the back camera. Without knowing what phone and software you are using, I can only guess what the icon might look like.
If you have a look at the Samsung article it might help you figure out what to look for and where.
