How can I compress a video

Want to email a video but size is too large

Welcome to the Google Photo Help Community.

Open Google Photos.
2. Select the video you want to compress.
3. Tap the Share icon (three vertical dots or a box with an arrow).
4. Choose Send to or Share via (depending on your device).
5. Select Compressed video or "Reduce file size (this option might vary).
6. Choose the compression quality (example Low, Medium, or High).
7. Tap Send or Share.

Google Photos option three compression levels
1. Low ( smallest file size, lower quality)
2. Medium (balanced quality and file size)
3. High (largest file size, highest quality)

1. Compression reduces video quality.
2. Check email attachment limits before sharing.
3. Consider uploading videos to Google Drive or other cloud services for larger files.

1. Open Google Photos.

4. Choose Edit.
5. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu).
6. Select Export.
7. Choose Compressed video.
