How do i take backing up my photos off wifi only and change it to backup even with wifi off?

Trying to change the setting for backing up photos off wifi only setting to backing up even without wifi trurned on

Hi Sal,

You should be able to go into settings:> Backup & sync and select the option to add Mobile or Cell data backup,

Why can't it backup without wifi even with the cellular data option turned off?

Sorry Sal,

Google Photos is designed to work on WiFi or Cell data, without these there is no connection to the internet where Google stores backed up photos,
