When my friend was visiting we thought we could copy her google photos to a usb memory stick to save them but were unsuccessful. I think I may have been logged into her google account at the time. I really can't remember what I did. I do remember clicking on the word sync. All of my picutres go to her Iphone google photos. At 1st she got about 3000 of my photos. She has delete them but everytime I take a picture, she gets it. can you help resolve this? 0 Recommended Answers 15 Replies 376 Upvotes

Hi South,

Your Google account is still signed in on your friends phone. You have to sign out from that device so this stops happening. Go to your Google account and sign out from the device by clicking this link: https://myaccount.google.com/security-checkup.

I hope it helps.

Kind Regards

Hi SouthPaw

In addition to Samson's suggestions, I would sit down with both you and your friend's phones to make sure Google Photos is logged in to the correct account and delete any accidentally added second account.

For each device:
1. Launch Google Photos
2. Select the left menu
3. Look to the upper left.  Is the correct account showing?
4. Next, select the v profile icon to reveal any secondary accounts on Google Photos.
5. Select the correct account if necessary to make that the active account.
6. Then, If there are secondary unwanted accounts, select Manage accounts on this device from the menu
7. Select the unwanted account and delete.

This should remove the secondary account (if it's there at all) from the phone and make the correct account active.

Let us know if this helped,

My wife and I had the same issue to happen. Her photos were synced to my google photos account. We deleted them, but now my photos are gone. They are not in the trash bin. Is there a way to recover or restore my google photos app?

You might be signed into her Google Photos app on her iPhone. Try signing out.
