Stuck on "Preparing Photos". Wont let me download any photos

I am trying to upload my photos from my SD card straight on to my google photos. It is not letting me complete this task. It gets stuck and just says "Preparing Photos" for a long time and no photos are getting processed. Please help me fix this issue as soon as possible! Thanks in advance have a great eveing :)

Hello Tzivia,

Welcome to the Google Photos Support Community.

Please confirm if you're having the same issue on a Google Photos app (if possible).

Meanwhile, also try giving the below steps a try once again in a sequence to help resolve the issue:

Sign out and sign back in to Google Photos (photos.google.com) with the same Google Account.
Try Incognito/private window.
Disable extensions/add-ons/plug-ins.
Try a different browser to see if it is a browser related issue.

I'm facing the same issue. Says Preparing photos but even when I'm trying to upload 3 images it's not doing so?!?!

I was having the same issue. I was trying to upload from Microsoft Edge, but instead I tried Google Chrome and now I'm all set. I hope this helps..

I’m having the same problem. Very frustrating. Im using the Google photos app though.

I just got a new phone and every time I go to photos all it says is getting photos. None are popping up. Why?
