How to add/delete photos in "My Photos" in Gmail .....

How do you add and/or delete a photo to "My Photos" in Gmail?
When I first set up the Gmail account I moved a photo into
"My Photos" for a background theme. Now I cannot delete it
from "My Photos" nor can I add a different photo to "My Photos."

Thanks for any help at all.

I checked and this is what I found to delete a Profile photo:

Go to https://get.google.com/albumarchive
Click on "Profile photos": it brings you to another folder "Profile photos", in my case with "1 item"
Click on "Profile photos" again
Click on the photo you want to delete
Now I see "Delete" under the 3-dots.

I did not delete, thus let us know how it goes.

I found an easier way to get photos on my photo just send an image from the desired account you would like to have the image in, from google hangouts. preferably a laptop so you don't have to switch apps and then the pic will appear in my photos and your album

I clicked on the link provided by MordH but it does not give me the option to delete the photos. It just lets me view them. Can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong?
