You can create, edit, and add things like maps and text in your photo albums.
You can add up to 20,000 photos or videos to an album.
Tip:
- Live albums are not available in all countries.
- Some features may not be available when you have a large album.
Create a new album
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app
.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- Touch and hold a photo, and then select the photos you want in your new album.
- At the bottom, tap Add to
.
- Select Album.
- Optional: Add a title to your new album.
- Tap Done

Create a live album
You can set up an album to automatically add photos of your friends and family.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app
.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- At the top, tap Create

- Tap Select people & pets.
- On any face group, tap Select

- At the top right, tap Confirm.

Find your albums
- On your Android device, open the Google Photos app
.
- At the bottom, tap Collections
Albums.
- To filter your albums, tap All, Shared with me, or My albums.
- To sort your albums, tap Sort by
. You can sort by:
- Album title
- Last modified
- Most recent photo

Move items around
Add maps and locations
Add or change text
Delete an album
What you can do if you didn't create the album
- Only the person who created the album will be able to make these changes to it.
- If you're a collaborator on an album but didn't create it, you can only add photos and videos.
