When you save an image, you can find additional info that indicates whether a photo has been edited with AI. If you've used certain AI-powered features in Google Photos, like Magic Editor and Magic Eraser, you can find this info.
This can include AI info from third-party image editing programs that meet globally recognised metadata standards developed by the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC).
Find AI info
- On your Android device, open the Google Photos app .
- Select the photo whose info you want to check.
- Tap More .
- Scroll down to 'AI info' to find more details, like the credit and digital source type.
- Not all images have AI info. The AI info section is removed for photos that have not been edited with AI or that do not follow IPTC standards.
- Note that IPTC metadata can be modified.
