Top up your FASTag account with Google Pay

You can link and recharge your FASTag account with Google Pay.
This feature is available to users in India.
Link your bank to your FASTag account
  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. Tap Pay Bills.
  3. From “Payment Categories,” select FASTag recharge.
  4. Select your FASTag issuer bank.

    Tip: Before you recharge your FASTag, you must:

    • Check the biller shown on your FASTag vehicle sticker.
    • Ready your vehicle number.
  5. Tap FASTag and then Get started.
  6. Enter your account information.
  7. In the “Link Account” page, enter your vehicle’s registratioon number without spaces.
    • Example: AB01AB1234
  8. Review the account information by the app.
  9. Tap Link accunt.

Buy selective bank FASTag from Google Pay

  1. On your mobile device, open Google Pay .
  2. Under "Businesses," search for your FASTag bank.
    • To find your FASTag bank, you can also enter it in the homepage search bar.
  3. Tap Buy new FASTag.
  4. Enter your details, which can include your:
    • PAN
    • Vehicle Registration Certificate
    • Vehicle number
    • Address
  5. Confirm your details.
  6. Verify your registered mobile number through a one-time password (OTP).
  7. To place your request, pay the required amount.

Send a payment to your FASTag account

If your bank account is already linked to your FASTag account, you can top up your FASTag account through Google Pay:

  1. On your mobile device, open Google Pay .
  2. Go to the “Pay Bills” section.
  3. Under "Payment Categories," select FASTag recharge.
  4. In the FASTag section, select your FASTag issuer bank.
  5. Choose the FASTag account of the vehicle number.
  6. Tap Recharge.
  7. Enter the amount.
  8. To confirm, tap the Check mark Done.

Your FASTag account isn’t updated after payment
Google Pay uses UPI (United Payments Interface) to send payments to your FASTag account. If your bank hasn’t recharged your FASTag account despite a successful payment, contact the bank with the UPI Transaction ID.
Can you purchase FASTag through Google Pay?
Currently, you can only purchase FASTag issued through ICICI in Google Pay.

Charges on Google Pay for FASTag recharges

There are no transaction charges for FASTag recharges through UPI in Google Pay. Recharges done through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking may have gateway charges wherever applicable. The recharge limit may vary with the bank portal or application and the issuer bank.

Check your FASTag balance on Google Pay

After you link your FASTag account on Google Pay, you can find your FASTag balance and other related FASTag account information.

To check your balance:

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. Under “Bills and Recharges,” tap FASTag recharge.
  3. Tap the account for which you want to check the balance.
  4. You’ll see your balance on the screen under your account name.

Minimum & maximum FASTag recharge amounts

The minimum FASTag recharge amount is ₹100 INR and the maximum recharge amount is ₹20,000 INR.

If you’re a prepaid FASTag customer whose mobile number is registered with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), you can contact their 24x7 toll-free number, 1300 or +91-8884333331.

Extra fees on Google Pay

There are no extra fees for payments in Google Pay. Your card provider, bank, or network may charge fees that depend on the card and the transactions made.

Recharge FASTag through Google Pay

The maximum recharge limit is:

  • ₹2,000 INR per day for limited KYC FASTag customers.
  • ₹1,00,000 INR for full KYC customers.

There are no transaction charges for FASTag recharges through UPI in Google Pay. Recharges done through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking may have payment gateway charges wherever applicable. The recharge limit can vary with the bank portal or application and the issuer bank.

Recharge IDBI FASTag through Google Pay

If you select IDBI as your issuer bank on Google Pay, you can recharge your IDBI FASTag.
