You can now use the Google Pay app to send money. The Google Pay Send app will disappear soon.

Do I need to download a new app?

No. The next time you update your Google Pay app, you’ll get the new features available in your country. Learn how to update your app.

Do I need to add my cards again?

No. Any credit, debit, gift, or loyalty cards you added to Google Pay or Google Pay Send will automatically show up in Google Pay. If you used a payment method to buy a Google product or service (like an app or movie on Google Play or storage space for Google Drive), you’ll see it in Google Pay.

How will this affect my payment security?

The security measures protecting your info won’t change with the new app. You can read about security for Google Pay here.

Can I still get info about money I sent and received on Google Pay Send?

You can find all of your Google Pay transaction info in the Google Pay app and on pay.google.com.

Google Pay wasn’t available in my country before. Is it available now?

Certain Google Pay features are available in certain countries. Check back as we continue to expand to new places.

When is my payment information linked to my Google Account?

Your payment information is linked to your Google Account when you:

  • Buy a Google product or service (like an app or movie on Google Play or storage space for Google Drive).
  • Add cards to Google Pay or Chrome.
