Buy tickets for the Las Vegas Monorail

You can use Google Pay to buy a single ride, 24 hour pass or a multi-day pass on the Las Vegas monorail.

You’ll need an Android phone to use Google Pay on the Las Vegas monorail.

Buy a ticket

Go directly to the Las Vegas monorail website, select and buy the type of ticket you want. You can use Pay with Google to check out and save the ticket to your Google Pay account.

See your ticket

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Pay app.
  2. At the bottom, tap Cards.
  3. Under Tickets & passes, you’ll see your tickets.

Activate and use your ticket

Before you get on the monorail, make sure you activate the ticket you want to use. The activated ticket will be used to pay for your ride.

  1. Open the Google Pay app.
  2. At the bottom, tap Cards.
  3. Under Transit, find and tap the ticket you want to use.
  4. Tap Activate.
  5. Tap the back of your phone to the monorail’s card reader.

Note: You can only have 1 ticket activated at a time. The card’s time limit will start after you tap it. If you haven’t used that card at all, you have 365 days until it expires.

To prevent fraud on a multi-use pass, you can only tap once within 10 minutes.

Switch to a different ticket

If you don’t want to use the current activated ticket, you can go to the ticket you want to use, tap Activate. You’ll be able to activate it, but your other ticket will be deactivated.

Note: If you’ve used the ticket once, deactivating it will not extend the ticket’s expiration.

See where you’ve used your ticket

If you have a 24 hour or multi-day pass, you can see where you’ve used the ticket.

  1. Open the Google Pay app.
  2. At the bottom, tap Cards.
  3. Under Tickets & passes , tap the ticket.
  4. You’ll see the station names, date and time of where you’ve been.

Delete a ticket

When you delete a ticket, you won’t be able to get it back. For expired tickets, you can delete it to remove it from your list.

  1. Open the Google Pay app.
  2. At the bottom, tap Cards.
  3. Under Tickets and passes, tap the ticket.
  4. Tap More More to see the back of the ticket.
  5. Tap Delete pass.

Fix a problem

Can’t activate my ticket

If you have issues activating or deactivating your ticket, first:

  • Try activating or deactivating again.
  • Check if you have internet issue.
  • Check if your device is rooted. You won’t be able to use Google Pay for Las Vegas Monorail.
  • Check that the ticket hasn’t already been activated.

If that still doesn’t work, contact the Las Vegas Monorail.

Can’t transfer my ticket to another device

When you buy your ticket, make sure you save it on the device you want to use it on. Once you’ve saved your ticket on one device, you won’t be able to transfer it.

Can’t tap again after tapping once

If you have a multi-use ticket and you tapped once already, make sure it’s been 10 minutes before you tap again. If you have a single use ticket, you can only tap once.
