How to change SoundPod notification language
SoundPod by Google Pay is available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages.
To change the language:
- Press and hold the Menu button.
- To select your preferred language, press the volume button.
- To set any language, double-tap the Menu button.
- Tip: Make sure to do this within 4 seconds or it goes back to the current setting.

How to cancel Google Pay SoundPod audio notification
Audio notification services can be canceled for various reasons:
- You asked customer support to cancel your audio notification services.
- Google failed to collect service fees with daily settlements for 30 days from the day of first default.
- Your business owner profile is inactive.
- Your business owner account has been closed.
- Your payments profile is inactive.
- You breach “Google Pay for Business Program Additional Terms of Service.”
How to view & download your invoices
To download invoices:
- Open the Google Pay for Business app

- Navigate to "Invoices."
- Option 1:
- Under “Quick links,” tap SoundPod.
- At the top right, tap More

- To view invoices from SoundPod transactions only, tap SoundPod.
- Tap the invoice that you want to view.

How to find Google Pay SoundPod transactions
The app homepage shows a transaction summary for a given time period.
- To see a summary of the past day, week, or month, tap 1D, 7D, or 30D.
- To see the details of a specific transaction, tap it.
You’ll find the audio notification service fee deductions and details in your transaction history with the label “SoundPod fee deduction.”
Service fee deduction for temporarily closed shops subscribed with daily plan
The reopen day's daily settlement will deduct service fee for the closed days and the day you reopen.
For example, if you close your shop for 10 days:
- 10 days * ₹5 = ₹50 service fee owed.
- ₹5 service fee on reopen date.
- Total ₹55 as service fee will be deducted from the daily settlement on the day you reopen.
SoundPod fee deduction if daily plan starts mid-month
Daily service fee begins on the day that you set up the audio notification services through SoundPod.
For example, if you set up your audio notification services through SoundPod on July 20, ₹5 fee (inclusive of taxes) daily from July 20 to July 31 and one-time fee of ₹499 (inclusive of taxes) will be debited at the time of daily settlement on the respective day from your Google Pay settlement account.
For subsequent months, service of SoundPod fee deductions on a daily basis which is ₹5 for audio notification services will start on the first of the month. They'll continue daily (except Sundays) until ₹125 has been paid.
Google Pay SoundPod device replacement
If the device stops functioning, contact support.
If you raise a complaint within the service warranty period for manufacturing defect or damage that isn't attributable to you, no charges will be levied for the replacement support services. Post warranty period, if the device has to be replaced, you'll be charged ₹400 inclusive of taxes for the new device.
The service warranty for audio notification service is 6-months from the date of set up.
The warranty covers any manufacturing defects and damage that is not attributable to you.
However, the warranty doesn’t cover any damage from:
- Water exposure
- Drops
- Incorrect power supply
- Other misuse or tampering attributable to you
Google or its authorized representative’s decision on the damage being attributable to you or not will be final.
The decision on whether the damage is attributable to you or not, made by Google or its authorized representative, will be final.
I received a damaged SoundPod. What should I do
The charges for SoundPod audio notification services are:
- Monthly plan: A one-time payment of ₹499, followed by a monthly payment of ₹125 which deducts from your settlement account.
- Half-yearly plan: A one-time payment of ₹249, followed by a renewal deduction of ₹750 for every 6 months.
- Annual plan: A payment of ₹1,499 for one year.
Your service plan starts from the day you activate it and is provided for the duration you choose, like monthly, half-yearly, or annually. All service plans above are inclusive of taxes.
Apart from the charges listed above, there are no additional or hidden fees. If an agent asks you to pay any extra charges, immediately contact Google Pay for Business customer support.
Cashback offer: If you receive 400 or more payments in a month through Google Pay QR codes from at least 30 unique users, you’ll receive a ₹125 cashback.- On your device, open the Google Pay for Business app

If you cancel the SoundPod renewal, you'll lose:
- Access to voice notifications
- The ₹125 cashback offer
- Ability to reorder the SoundPod from this business account in the future
- Restart the device: Insert a pin into the reset or RST hole.
- Verify volume level: Check that the volume isn’t set to zero. If the volume is low, increase it and try again.
- Check the green LED:
- If the light is solid, the SoundPod is connected.
- If the light is blinking, the device is trying to connect to the network. Wait for 10-15 seconds and check again.
- If the light still blinks after 15 seconds, restart the device.
- Insert a pin into the reset or RST hole.
- Check SIM card insertion: Confirm that you insert the SIM card properly.
- Try an alternative SIM:
- If your current SIM doesn’t work, try to insert a different SIM card and restart the device with the power button.
- If the issue is resolved with the new SIM, the original SIM card needs to be replaced.
To be eligible for cashback:
- Complete 400 or more transactions through Google Pay for Business QR.
- These transactions must be from at least 30 unique users.
If you’re eligible, you'll receive a cashback worth ₹125 through a scratch card. The scratch card is valid for 28 days.
- On your mobile phone, open the Google Pay for Business app

The service fee is deducted at the beginning of every month.
Tip: If you temporarily close your shop, there will be no additional deduction, as you are on a monthly plan.The monthly service fee starts on the day you set up audio notification services through SoundPod. The recurring monthly service fee deduction starts on the first day of each following month.
- Example: If you set up your SoundPod on July 20, you pay a one-time fee of ₹499, inclusive of taxes. The partial month fee from July 20–July 31 would be ₹55 (11 days * ₹5 per day).
- For the following months, full monthly service fee deduction starts on the first day of each month.
