Manage payment notifications

You can adjust the volume and change the language of voice notification on your Google Pay for Business app.

The app makes a sound and shows you something on the screen when you get paid. You can select the language for the sounds.

Turn on ways to get notifications

1. On your phone, open the Google Pay for Business app .
2. Go to Settings.
3. In the Settings page, you’ll find “Payment notifications.”
4. Tap Payment notifications.
5. In “Payment notifications,” turn on the settings you want to use.
   • Voice notifications: When you receive a payment, your phone makes a sound.
   • Permanent notifications: You’ll get a message on your phone whenever you get paid.
   • Background battery usage: To tell you when you get paid, the app runs in the background.

• If you tap “Voice notifications:" You can make the sound louder or softer, or select a different language.
• If you turn it on: You’ll hear sounds when you get paid. The sound will be loud and in the same language as your phone.
• If you turn it off: You won't be able to change how loud the sound is or what language it’s in.

Select a language for voice notifications

1. On your phone, open the Google Pay for Business app .
2. Tap Settings Payment voice notifications.
3. Select the language you want.

Fix issues

I can't get voice notifications

1. Make sure your phone isn’t muted.
2. Make sure “Do Not Disturb” is turned off. Learn how to turn off Do Not Disturb.
