Redeem rewards

With Google Opinion Rewards, you'll take surveys that are run by market researchers. Survey frequency may vary, and you don't have to answer every survey you receive. In exchange, we'll provide Google Play credits. Below, we've outlined some common questions regarding redeeming Google Play credits.

It seems like I lost some of my credits. Where did they go?

You may have seen a decrease in your Google Play balance recently, caused by a bulk expiration of Google Play credits older than one year, in line with the promotional Play credit expiration policy. To learn more, see Google Play’s Terms of Service for promotional Play credit.

You can see a history of how your credits have been spent by logging into your Google payment profile.

How can I tell when my credits will expire?

The home screen shows when your oldest credits are expiring next, directly under your total Play credit balance. Remember, each credit expires one (1) year from the date it was earned.

How do I redeem my Google Play credits?

During the setup process you will be asked to associate your Google payment profile so that we can apply the Google Play credits directly to your account. Once you answer the initial set of demographic questions and go through the survey tutorial you’ll receive a notification for your first paid survey. After answering the survey, you will see a confirmation page confirming the amount of credit that has been applied to your Google payment profile. You can redeem your credit by tapping the "Play Store" button on the home screen of the mobile app or by shopping directly from the Google Play store.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you are logged in using the same login credentials in Google Play as the login you used with your Opinion Rewards App and Google payment profile to transfer the credits successfully.

Do my credits expire?

Yes. Google Play credits received expire one year from date of credit per the Google Opinion Rewards Terms of Service.

Unpaid surveys:

Validation and Recruitment Survey/Missing credits

• Sample question: "I didn't receive any credit after answering the survey. Please help!"
• For some surveys, such as the initial setup questions, you will not receive Google Play credits. These surveys are used to measure the quality of respondents and improve the product. Answering surveys truthfully is the best way to ensure you'll continue receiving credits and surveys.

Credits could take a few days to be applied to your account. If you received a screen saying there was an issue sending the response, check to see if you installed AdBlocker, turn AdBlocker off, and restart the Opinion Rewards App.

Transferring credits

• Sample question: “I created a new Play account, can I transfer the credits from my old account?”
• Transferring credits from one account to another is not allowed.
