Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms of Service

Last modified: 7 February 2021

To request an account with Google for Nonprofits or to use Google for Nonprofits programme features, you must accept (1) the Google Terms of Service, and (2) these Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms of Service (the 'Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms').

Please read each of these documents carefully. Together, these documents are known as the 'Terms'. They establish what you can expect from us as you use your Google for Nonprofits  account and features, and what we expect from you.
If these Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms conflict with the Google Terms of Service, these Google for Nonprofits Additional Terms will govern for the Google for Nonprofits programme.

Although it’s not a part of these Terms, we encourage you to read our Privacy Policy to better understand how you can update, manage, export and delete your information.

Age and relationship

You must be above the legal age of majority in your country (or above the age of 18, whichever is higher) to have a Google for Nonprofits account.

In addition, you must be an authorised representative who is able to bind others on behalf of the entity listed in your Google for Nonprofits account and nonprofit profile.

Binding others and administrator privacy

If your organisation’s Google for Nonprofits account request is approved, you will become the administrator for your organisation’s Google for Nonprofits account. If you later add or approve other users to be co-administrators of your organisation’s account, you must bind those users to these Terms before adding or approving them as co-administrators. Co-administrators will have the same rights as you to control your organisation’s account, including the ability to remove you as an administrator. By agreeing to add co-administrators to your organisation’s Google for Nonprofits account, you are consenting to co-administrators viewing your name and the details of your administrative actions, including removal of co-administrators, rejection of users applying to be co-administrators and your organisation’s requests for Google products offered through Google for Nonprofits.

  • You will not use Google for Nonprofits to (i) corruptly influence any government official to obtain or retain business or any improper advantage, (ii) gain or retain business, (iii) cause a government official to do or not do something in their official capacity or (iv) gain any other improper advantage.

Public use of your nonprofit profile

You agree that if you include content in your organisation’s nonprofit profile, the content that you provide may be used in other Google products and may be publicly displayed (such as in fundraising features on YouTube).

While Google is not responsible for your nonprofit profile if you have provided information about your organisation in your nonprofit profile, you understand that we have the right, but not the obligation, to moderate that content.

Other products/services

The Terms govern your use of your organisation’s Google for Nonprofits account and features (such as nonprofit profiles). Google products offered through Google for Nonprofits may require additional steps to activate, including agreeing to separate product-specific Terms of Service.
