Organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the Google for Nonprofits program:

      • Indigenous Communities (Comunidades Indígenas) registered with the National Indigenous Development Corporation (La Corporación Nacional de Desarrollo Indígena – CONADI)

      • Associations, foundations, institutions, and religious communities approved by the Ministry of Taxation to receive tax deductible donations pursuant to Sections 8 A and 12 (3) of the Act on Assessment of Income Tax to the State (Assessment Act); or
      • Organizations not appearing on the Ministry of Taxation’s list of organizations eligible for tax deductible donations (including organizations in Greenland) whose governing documents indicate the organization is operating on a nonprofit basis for the public benefit

      • Nonprofit foundations governed by the Foundations Act (109/1930, Säätiölaki), as amended; or
      • Religious communities governed by the Freedom of Religion Act (06.6.2003/453, Uskonnonvapauslaki), as amended; and
      • Geographically located within Finland, including the Åland Islands

    • Organizations must be currently registered with AdB Solidatech, TechSoup Global's regional arm.
    • Organizations must be either an association according to the Act of the 1st of July 1901 or a foundation according to Article 8 of the Act of the 23rd of July 1987.

    • Organizations must be Charitable institutions (慈善機構) or trusts of public character (慈善信託) approved as tax exempt by the Inland Revenue Department (稅務局) under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance, Cap. 112
    Details for organizations in Hungary
    • Organizations must be currently registered with CivilTech, TechSoup Global's regional arm.
    • Organizations must be classified as one of the following:
      • Associations (egyesületek) or foundations (alapítványok) that have been granted Public Benefit Organization (Közhasznú szervezet) status by the competent Court; or
      • Nonprofit companies that have been granted Public Benefit Organization status by the competent Company Registry Court.

        • Public charitable trusts under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882
        • Section 8 companies under the Companies Act, 2013 (formerly Section 25 companies under the Companies Act, 1956
        • NOTE: Only organizations with a valid registration certificate under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010 (FCRA) may receive foreign contributions.

      • Registered and incorporated with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") as a non-stock, non-profit corporation and non-governmental organizations, foundations, or associations (NGOs) and accredited by the Philippine Council for NGO Certification (PCNC) and registered as Donee Institutions with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
      • Registered and incorporated with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with the purposes provided in Section 88 of the Corporation Code whose governing documents indicate they are working on a non-profit basis for the public benefit

      • Foundations and associations registered at the National Court Register (Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy – KRS) which do not have the public benefit organization status.

        • Foundations registered with the Registry of Associations and Foundations with the relevant local court clerk’s office pursuant to Chapter 2 of Law 26/2000, as amended; or
        • Federations of two or more associations or foundations registered with the Registry of Federations with the court clerk’s office of the headquarters pursuant to Chapter 5 of Law 26/2000, as amended;
      • Religious associations registered with the Registry of Religious Associations of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under Law 489/2006 and order MCC 2274/2007

        • National organizations reviewed and licensed by the Central Government
        • Local organizations reviewed and licensed by a bureau of the Regional City/County Governments

      • Organizations that have been granted tax exempt status by the Thailand Revenue Department under the Ministry of Finance
      • Public benefit organizations certified by the Office of the National Commission of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security
      • Foundations or associations registered with one of the following government bodies (as applicable):
        • The Ministry of Interior
        • The Ministry of Culture
        • The provincial Governor’s office in the seat of the organization’s principal office

    • Organizations must be currently registered with tt-exchange, TechSoup Global's regional arm.
    • Organizations must meet the criteria below based on their primary location:
      • England and Wales
        • Registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales; and/or
        • Registered with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as a charity for tax relief
      • Northern Ireland
        • Registered with HM Revenue & Customs as a charity for tax relief
      • Scotland
        • Registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR); and/or
        • Registered with HM Revenue & Customs as a charity for tax relief
      • Jersey
        • Member of the Association of Jersey Charities
      • Guernsey
        • Member of the Association of Guernsey Charities
      • Isle of Man
        • Registered with the Index of Registered Isle of Man Charities;
      • Falkland Islands
        • Registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales; and/or
        • In the list of charities prepared by the Attorney General, approved by the Governor, and published in the Gazette under the Taxes Ordinance 1997
    Details for US organizations
    • Organizations must be recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations formed for charitable, educational, religious, literary, scientific, or other tax-exempt purposes. For more information, see How to Apply for Charity Status.
    • Organizations that rely on the group 501(c)(3) exemption of a central (“umbrella”) organization can apply to Google for Nonprofits as a "related organization."
    • Organizations, such as churches, that are automatically considered tax-exempt must still obtain recognition of 501(c)(3) tax exemption from the IRS to qualify for the Google for Nonprofits program.
    Details for organizations in Vietnam
    • Organizations must be currently registered with TechSoup Asia, TechSoup Global's regional arm.
    • Organizations must be classified as one of the following:
      • Social Relief Establishments
      • Social Funds and Charity Funds
      • International NGOs (INGOs) holding all applicable permits issued by the Vietnamese Government
      • Other organizations whose governing documents indicate they are operating on a nonprofit basis for the public benefit, including the following legal forms:
        • Associations
        • Scientific and Technological Organizations (STOs)
  3. Not one of the following:
    • Governmental entity or organization
    • Hospital or health care organization

Google reserves the right to grant or deny an organization's application or participation at any time, for any reason, and to supplement or amend these eligibility guidelines at any time. Selections are made at Google's sole discretion and are not subject to external review.
