How can I find my nonprofit registration number or tax ID?

To be eligible for Google for Nonprofits, you will need to provide your nonprofit registration number or tax ID number.

What is a nonprofit registration number or tax ID?

While nonprofit registration with a governmental entity may not be required in some countries, a registration number or tax ID number is required to qualify for Google for Nonprofits so your organization can be verified. A nonprofit registration number or tax ID number is assigned by the nonprofit registry, tax authority or other governmental entity in the country where the nonprofit was established. Other names include Employer Identification Number (EIN), Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN), Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN), Value-added Tax Identification number or VAT identification number (VATIN).

How can I find my nonprofit registration number or tax ID?

Each country has its own laws governing how an organization obtains a nonprofit registration number or tax ID. Each country's applicable regulator provides a nonprofit registration number or tax ID when an organization completes its applicable registration process. For questions about your nonprofit registration number or tax ID, or help locating your number, please contact your applicable regulatory authority.

For additional information about eligibility requirements in each country where Google for Nonprofits is launched, please see Eligibility Guidelines.
