Learn when you'll get software updates on Google Pixel phones

Below is info about software updates for Pixel phones. If you have another Android device, contact your manufacturer or operator for update info.

About Pixel Drops

Pixel phones receive regular software updates that include new features, security enhancements, operating system updates, bug fixes and more.

Updates roll out gradually, and are dependent on operator and device. It may take a few weeks for the update to arrive on your device. You'll get a notification once the update is ready to install. To manually check your phone for updates:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
  2. Tap System and then Software update.

You'll find your update status. Follow any steps on the screen.
