Create a Google News Analytics dashboard

You can view data about your publication’s performance in the Google News Publisher Analytics executive dashboard.

Important: You can only access this tool if you've set up Analytics for your Google News publication.

Create your dashboard

  1. Sign in to your Analytics account.

  2. Import the Google News Publisher Analytics executive dashboard.

  3. Select the “Analytics” view.

  4. To open your new dashboard, click Create.

View your dashboard

  1. Sign in to your Analytics account.

  2. Select the “Analytics” view.

  3. Click Menu Menu and then Dashboards and then Private.

By default, the Google News Publisher Analytics executive dashboard displays your data with widgets:

  • Users by device: A pie chart that compares the proportion of readers who use mobile devices, and readers who use a desktop.

  • Users and new users: A graph that displays how many users view your publication each day, and how many new users you attract.

  • Current users: Analytics real-time display of how many active users are reading your publication in real time.

  • Users by country: A geographical breakdown of your users, grouped by country.

  • Top viewed articles: A table of the top 10 articles in your publication, and how many users and screen views each article accounts for.

  • Top viewed sections: A table of the top 10 sections in your publication, and how many users and screen views each one received. You can use this to quickly see how users are browsing through your publication, and which sections they check for articles to read.
