Analyze results with Network Planner

You can calculate coverage areas and customize your results. Use the network planner to easily spot potential problem areas that might interfere with your signal, such as trees and buildings.

Run study layers

Important: Before you plan your coverage areas and check your calculations, make sure you import an antenna, add a site, and add a device. Study layers that aren't saved to the Project tab expire after 7 days. Learn how to manage overlays.

  1. On your computer, sign in to the Network Planner.
  2. Click View projects and, in the left panel, select your organization.
  3. In the center panel, select your project and click Open.
  4. At the top right, click Run all study layers.
    • You must rerun study layers after you change any parameters. After the initial run, you can click:
      • Run all study layers again.
      • Select coverage to choose a single coverage type, then click Run study to rerun a single study layer.
    • Tip: You can adjust the radius included around each device, and the resolution of the resulting heatmap for each band in the project settings.
  5. Once the study layers are complete, click Select coverage and choose your coverage. Completed study layers are labeled as "data rasters" in the "Coverage tab" of the Overlays panel.
  6. To export heatmaps, run an Export coverage report.

Use heatmaps

  2. Right click Data Raster.
  3.  Click Compare Data Raster .
  4. Click Close Close to deselect the maps.
